How to get there?
Yes—we are actually located in the back of Ohana Yoga + Barre, with our entry doors in the alley, right off 44th Street. Turn by the Greatful Gnome, across the street from The Oriental Theatre. Find us in the alley!

Are you family-friendly?
Yes—Kids are welcome. We just ask that grown-ups keep an eye on them while they explore the space.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes—on the patio only. We love your pups, but per Denver rules, we must keep the indoor space pet-free.

Do you have gluten-free options?
Absolutely. We proudly serve Holidaily Brewing (on draft and in cans) and 3rd Bird Kombucha on tap.

Do you offer non-alcoholic options?
YEP. Ceria Alcohol-free beers, Zero-proof cocktails, sodas, and coffee!

Is this a women-owned business?
Yep. Chelsea and Liz—co-owners, brewers and operators, plus longtime friends, and co-hosts of the Body By Beer Podcast.

Where do I park?
There’s no parking lot on site, but there’s usually plenty of street parking within a few blocks.

Why Tennyson Street?
This part of Denver has always been about local energy—featuring indie shops, makers, and community-first vibes. It’s got history and heart, and it felt like the right place to start something fresh.

Who are the new owners?
We’re Chelsea and Liz—beer industry folks with a background in brewing, podcasting, and brand-building. We’re behind the Body By Beer Podcast and excited to bring that same storytelling and energy into this space.

Coffee & Café FAQs

Do you serve coffee all day?
Yes. We serve espresso-based drinks, French press coffee, and matcha all day.

What kind of coffee do you use?
We use Vail Mountain Coffee for our espresso and French press, and Queen City Coffee for our decaf. Both are local, Colorado roasters we’re proud to pour.

Do you serve drip coffee?
No drip. Every cup is made to order—espresso drinks or French press—keeping with our craft roots.

Is Alley Brews a good place to work remotely?
Yes! We have reliable WiFi, comfortable seating, and a range of offerings from coffee to food to drinks when you’re ready.

Is Alley Brews a coffee shop or a brewery?
Both! We’re a women-owned brewery and café—coffee and food during the day, beer and cocktails later, all under one roof and all technically available all day long.

Do you make espresso martinis?
We do. They’re made with a fresh shot of espresso pulled on the same machine we use all day.

Where can I find good coffee near Tennyson Street in Denver?
Hopefully at Alley Brews ha! We are tucked behind Ohana Yoga just off Tennyson Street. Your all-day neighborhood hangout—find us in the alley.

Yes. We regularly host people working remotely who want good coffee, solid WiFi, and a space that doesn’t rush them out.

Is your WiFi reliable for full work sessions?
Yes. Our WiFi is reliable and supports longer work sessions, not just a quick email check.

Do you offer matcha and non-coffee options?
Yes. We serve matcha along with a range of non-alcoholic options, so coffee isn’t the only way to hang here.

Can I order coffee even if I’m not ordering food or a beer?
Absolutely. Coffee always stands on its own here—no food or alcohol required.

Do you serve food?
Yes! We partnered with Hesher BBQ to curate a Tennyson Street original. BBQ ramen and sliders! Both have pulled pork, smoked jackfruit and chopped brisket. Sides include mac n cheese and pretzel bites with our in-house beer cheese for dipping!

What kind of food do you offer?
Comfort-forward food built to pair with our beers—BBQ-inspired dishes, with vegetarian options, and easy plates great for a quick bite but enough to feel full.

Can I come just for food or coffee?
Absolutely. Alcohol is never required here. We want this to feel like a place you can settle into—whether that’s for coffee, food, non-alcoholic drinks, or just to come see some friends.

What vegetarian or plant-based options do you have?
We offer smoked jackfruit as a plant-based option, available in sliders and BBQ ramen, along with vegetarian sides.

Do you have gluten-free options?
We have some gluten-free and gluten-friendly options available. If you have dietary needs, our team is happy to help you navigate the menu.

When is food served?
Food is served during our regular business hours, from the moment the door opens until 30 minutes before we close. Any changes or special event schedules are shared on-site and online.

Do you brew on-site?
Yes—we brew small-batch beers here and collaborate with brewers across the region, especially women brewers who are reshaping the industry. We are excited to be part of the women-brewers in Colorado.

What kind of beer do you brew?
We brew small-batch beers on site with a rotating lineup that includes approachable styles and seasonal releases. Our focus stays on balance, drinkability, flavor with a variety of alcohol levels - high and low.

Do you always have the same beers on tap?
No. Our tap list rotates regularly, so there’s always something new alongside “always” on flagships.

Do you offer beer flights?
Yes. Flights are available and are a great way to explore the lineup without committing to a full pour.

Are your beers brewed by women?
Yes. We’re a women-owned brewery and actively collaborate with other brewers as part of our brewing program.

Is Alley Brews a good brewery for people who aren’t big beer drinkers?
Absolutely. Along with beer, we offer coffee, food, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. You don’t have to love beer to feel at home here.

Can I grab a beer and still get work done?
Yes. Many guests start with coffee, stay for food, and transition to beer later. The space is designed to work for all of it without pressure.

Private Events & Groups

Do you offer private event bookings?
We do. Reach out through our contact page to plan something personal and low-key in our taproom.
Events work well for up to 50 people inside, or up to 100 with the outdoor patio.
We also offer add-ons like hosted trivia, games, and catering.

What types of events do you host?
We host birthdays, team gatherings, celebrations, casual work events, and community get-togethers. If the goal is to hang out, connect, and eat and drink well, it’s probably a good fit.

Do private events require a food or drink minimum?
Some events do, depending on the day, time, and size of the group. We’ll walk through options and make sure expectations are clear before anything is booked.

Can guests order coffee, food, and non-alcoholic drinks during private events?
Yes. Coffee, food, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options are all available during private events.

Do you offer semi-private events or reserved sections?
