On Thursday, Sept. 24, ThursPLAY trades its usual trivia format for Oktoberfest JEOPARDY! — categories, clues, strategy, wagers + a final round with the entire game built around Oktoberfest.
Expect German beer, Bavaria, Oktoberfest history, food, music, traditions and enough strange festival knowledge to finally justify whatever useless facts have been hanging around in your brain.
The game starts at 6:30 PM and is free to play.
Come solo or bring a team. Come early for a table, food and your first beer before the board goes live.
Then come back — Alley Brews Oktoberfest Weekend runs Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 27.
What is Oktoberfest JEOPARDY!?
Oktoberfest JEOPARDY! takes the familiar category-and-clue game format and fills the board with Oktoberfest-themed questions.
Players will work through categories covering German beer, Bavaria, festival traditions, food, music, history + more, with strategy and wagering adding another layer beyond regular pub trivia.
You don't need to be an Oktoberfest expert to play.
Although knowing the difference between a Märzen and a Maß probably won't hurt.
Is Oktoberfest JEOPARDY! free?
Yes. ThursPLAY at Alley Brews is free to play.
No ticket is required. Tables are first come, first served, so arriving before the 6:30 PM start is a good move if you're bringing a group.
Can I play by myself?
Yes. You can come solo or play with a team.
So if you're the only person you know who has been patiently waiting for a category about German beer, come anyway.
