Join us for Oktoberfest Trivia in Denver as ThursPLAY takes on beer, Bavaria, festival history, food, music, traditions and plenty of the strange little facts that make Oktoberfest way more interesting than lederhosen alone.
Trivia is hosted by Shut Up & Drink Events with fast-paced, time-based scoring. Correct answers earn points — and answering faster can earn you more.

Trivia starts at 6:30 PM, so come early if you want to grab a table and get settled.
Beer is naturally part of the program, but the whole Alley Brews lineup is available: coffee, craft cocktails, food and non-alcoholic options.
Why is Oktoberfest in September?
This feels like a trivia question, because it is.
The first Oktoberfest was held in October 1810 as a celebration of the wedding of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. The festival eventually moved earlier in the year to take advantage of warmer weather and longer days.
So yes: the September date is completely intentional.

Yep. ThursPLAY is always free to play.
No ticket is required. Tables are first come, first served, so arriving early is a good move if you’re bringing a group.
Can I come to trivia by myself?
Absolutely.
Come solo, bring a date or roll in with your favorite collection of people who know suspicious amounts about German beer.

Alley Brews is a women-owned brewery, coffee bar and neighborhood hangout near Tennyson Street in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood.
We’re at 4342 Tennyson Street, hidden behind Ohana Yoga. Enter through the alley off 44th Avenue.
Beer, lattes, matcha, cold brew, craft cocktails, BBQ tacos, flatbread pizzas, pretzel bites and non-alcoholic options are available throughout the night.
